International Workshop on Intelligent Exploration of Semantic Data (IESD'2012) at EKAW 2012 2012,Galway City,Ireland. October 9 2012

Workshop Format

IESD'12 is a full day workshop conducted in a highly interactive manner.

We envisage two sessions of paper presentations followed by a general discussion. In addition to regular research papers, we accept demonstrations and reports on applications and best practices to stimulate discussions including practitioners. Further, we will accept position papers and statements, which may highlight controversial topics or visionary ideas, to further foster discussions.

We also intend to have one or two invited speakers to set the broader picture and share their experience in semantic data exploration. The speakers should cover at least two of the workshop themes.

The discussion session will be organized as interactive panel where participants of the workshop will also have the opportunity to present position statements by means of short lightning talks (two minutes maximum). The format of the discussion session is intended to deliver concrete action plans.

All papers must represent original and unpublished work that is not currently under review. Papers will be evaluated according to their significance, originality, technical content, style, clarity, and relevance to the workshop. At least one author of each accepted paper is expected to attend the workshop.

Contributions

  • Short (up to 6 pages) and full (up to 12 pages) research papers will be reviewed by at least two independent referees.
  • Demo papers (system demonstrations) and position statements should not exceed 3 pages.
