International Workshop at Hypertext 2013,Paris,France. May 1 2013

Workshop Format

IESD'13 is a half day workshop conducted in a highly interactive manner.

We envisage two sessions of paper/demo presentations followed by a general discussion. In addition to regular research papers, we accept demonstrations and reports on applications and best practices to stimulate discussions including practitioners. Further, we will accept position papers and statements, which may highlight controversial topics or visionary ideas, to further foster discussions.

We also intend to have one invited speaker to set the broader picture and share their experience in semantic data exploration.

We have continued the IESD challenge following from the strong participation we received for the first version of the workshop. The Challenge is designed to attract participations from the Semantic Web community particularly focusing on semantic data exploration. The Challenge will be open to everyone from industry and academia.

All papers must represent original and unpublished work that is not currently under review. Papers will be evaluated according to their significance, originality, technical content, style, clarity, and relevance to the workshop. At least one author of each accepted paper is expected to attend the workshop.

  • Short (up to 4 pages) and full (up to 8 pages) research papers will be reviewed by at least two independent referees.
  • Demo papers (system demonstrations) and position statements should not exceed 3 pages.
